Since I began studying cabinetmaking, I've had many opportunities to explore small crafts, which I love making. I've done small-scale woodworking, carving, and marquetry, while always adding my personal flair and giving the products a functional use.
A cherry crate I made with hand-cut dovetails and through-tenons.
A cutting board I made and shaped to match the lake where my client's family cottage is located, with a hole in the board at the location of the lake's island.
A shot glass holder made from offcuts and veneer,
and a pair of candle holders made in the same process.
A maple tea box with continuous grain walls, a bookmatched
solid wood top panel, and dividers giving 9 storage slots.
A set of custom coasters, made with careful
attention to wood grain direction and shading.
A wind rose hot plate made with veneering.
A Canadian goose marquetry piece, framed
and hung on the wall in a rustic cottage.
A special job for a client who is building his own MG car: a marquetry key hanger.
A wall sign carved from basswood and finished to highlight the carvings.
A small turned maple bowl designed
to hold keys and spare change.
A cheeseboard painted to be a kitchen decoration.
A walnut and mahogany business card holder.
A fretwork lamp I designed, built and finished for a client.

A dancer portrait I made for my sister from the above image.
A simple box I made with continuous grain along the walls and a marquetry lid.
